CRT to hold K&A dredging meeting on 5th July

CRT is holding a meeting in Devizes on 5th July for boaters to discuss the planned dredging on the K&A. Here is their message about it:

Dredging works are being planned for the Kennet and Avon Canal on sections of the Long Pound and in the Crofton area.  The works are scheduled to commence in the autumn and run through to spring 2017. On Tuesday 5th July, between 4.00pm and 7.00pm, staff involved in the dredging project will be at Devizes Corn Exchange to discuss the development of the scheme and its priorities with stakeholders. Individuals, as well as representatives of interest groups and businesses are invited to attend so that we can share our proposals and ensure that the views of the users can influence the outcome of the project. This is a ‘drop in’ session so come along at any time between 4.00pm and 7.00pm.

If you are unable to attend, though would still like to be kept informed of the dredging plans, then please let us know and you will be included in email updates in the coming months.

If you have any questions regarding the scheme and are not able to attend on the 5th July, then please do not hesitate to contact the Project Manager Paul Fox,
email paul.fox@canalrivertrust.org.uk, tel 07711 650418 or 01908 681281.
