CRT U-turn on range expected during a 6-month restricted licence

CRT has stated that boaters without a home mooring on a restricted 6-month licence are not expected to cover the same range as those on a 12-month licence. Matthew Aymes, CRT Customer Support Manager, Licence Support (ie enforcement manager) said in an email on 23rd February 2021:

We would like to hear from all boaters who took a mooring after their licence was restricted to 6 months or 3 months. Did you feel pressured into taking the mooring? If you took a CRT auctioned mooring, did you pay more than the reserve price for the mooring?

What to do if CRT refuses to renew your boat licence for 12 months

CRT’s new policy on boaters without home moorings effective from 1st May 2015 has already meant that many boaters have had renewal of their licence for 12 months refused and a six-month or three -month licence offered instead.
