There has been a spate of boats being broken into from Kintbury heading west, including Bedwyn, Brimslade, Wootton Rivers and on Friday evening (8th March) Bishops Cannings. The items stolen are mainly food, drink and warm clothing, together with some valuables. Police think it is the return of a homeless person who did a similar series of burglaries about 4 to 5 years ago. Spread the word and keep your eyes peeled. The suspect seems to pick on isolated boats. If you see anyone acting suspiciously or fitting the description, let the police know as they seem to be taking the break-ins very seriously.
