Water voles at canoe slipway site – tell the planners by July 3rd!

The planning application by Devizes Canoe Club to build a slipway at Lower Wharf, Devizes will destroy a habitat for water voles, which are a protected species. Indeed CRT receives charitable donations to protect water voles.

If you think the water vole habitat at Lower Wharf should be protected please tell Wiltshire Council and object to the planning application for the slipway – the deadline for objections is July 3rd. The planning application number is 14/05287/FUL. Wiltshire Council Environmental Health department is aware that there are water voles at the site but to apparently has not communicated this information to the Planning Department.
