CRT to hold Users Forum in Bradford on Avon, 21st November

CRT is to hold its autumn K&A User Group Forum at St Margaret’s Hall, Bradford on Avon BA15 1DE, on Wednesday 21st November 2018 from 6pm to 8pm.

As CRT’s new regional structure gets under way, this will be an opportunity for us to put our views and concerns about CRT enforcement, maintenance and facilities to Richard Thomas, the new Regional Director for Wales and the South West. Over the past 9 years we cannot remember a CRT or BW User Group Forum being held in Bradford on Avon, so please come and make sure the voices of liveaboard boaters, especially those without a home mooring, are heard. If you have opinions about CRT’s rebranding as a “wellbeing” organisation and the effect of CRT’s unlawful enforcement policy on the wellbeing of liveaboard boaters without a home mooring and their families, do share them with the new CRT regional team.

CRT says: “We believe the Trust’s recent reorganisation into regions gives us an opportunity to better focus on local communities. It is intended to refresh working relationships with local councils, police and welfare agencies to develop an inter-agency approach to meeting the needs of the diverse population of canal users. We intend to reach out to and consult with local communities – in the context of government’s funding for local housing, health, welfare, and education”.

Refreshments will be provided.

For more information about the meeting, contact Alison Jordan at the CRT Devizes office on 01380 737907 or email enquiries.kennetavon@canalrivertrust.org.uk
