Following the very successful K&A Floating Market in July, there will be a Carol Service and Christmas Floating Market in Bradford on Avon on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December between 11am and 7pm.
The Carol Service, led by Rev Peter Atwill of nb Gospel Belle, will take place at 5pm on Saturday 3rd December at the Tithe Barn, with the Canal Ministries Choir and the Salvation Army Band. The service will be followed by a lantern procession to the towpath where the Mayor of Bradford on Avon will turn the Christmas lights on at 6pm. You can bring your own lanterns or or make them at the market.
As well as Santa’s floating grotto, open from 12pm to 5pm on both days, there will be boats selling handmade crafts, art, clothing and gifts. The Dawdling Dairy will be returning with a new winter menu, including mulled wine and hot roasted chestnuts. The Floating Salon will also be returning to the market. There will be stalls in the West Barn and massage therapists offering to smooth away the winter blues. Singers, musicians and storytellers will be performing throughout the weekend to add to the festivities.
