Allan Campbell, yesterday given four and a half years for this year’s boat break ins

Allan Campbell,  who broke into numerous  boats  has been jailed for four years.

The 39 year old Campbell smashed doors and windows on narrow boats along the Kennet and Avon Canal across Wiltshire.  He was arrested after a nationwide hunt and is now in prison after admitting a string of burglaries.

Extra boaters meeting Sat 2nd Nov about consultation

There will be an extra boaters meeting on Saturday 2nd November, 12-2pm at the Three Swans, Hungerford to discuss, ask and answer questions about the local mooring strategy consultation. The meeting is organised by boaters, for boaters. Please tell all the boaters  you know about it, because we are unable to leaflet boats to advertise this meeting.

BaNES Council report condemns CRT failure to meet equalities obligations

A report published by Bath and NE Somerset Council has recommended that the Council should not endorse the CRT Local Mooring Strategy for the western K&A unless and until the Council is satisfied that it is compliant with CRT’s legal obligations under the Equality Act and the Mooring Strategy will not conflict with Council policy.

K&A boaters action group next meet 14th October, Bradford on Avon

Around 100 boaters attended the meetings to discuss, ask and answer questions about the CRT consultation on the proposed Towpath Mooring Plan for the K&A between Bath and Devizes. The K&A boaters action group, which organised the meetings, is having its next meeting on Monday 14th October in Bradford on Avon.
