Many liveaboard boaters have been impacted financially by the current coronavirus crisis, and having to spend hours on hold to claim Universal Credit by phone or having online claim pages time out is causing extra stress. Waterways Chaplain Susan Stapleton is offering a Boater Benefits Telephone Surgery for liveaboards on the K&A who need support and advice with their claim. Many waterways chaplains including Susan are experienced in navigating the benefit system and have completed training given by the Department of Work and Pensions.
You can phone Susan on 07944 544133 on Tuesdays and Fridays between 2pm and 4pm. If you don’t manage to get through first time, send a text and she’ll call you back as soon as she’s free.
