There will be a presentation and question and answer session on boat fire safety by Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service on Monday 16th November at 7.30pm at the Bridge Inn, Horton Rd, Devizes SN10 1LD. All boaters are welcome. Colin Owens, Rural Safety Crew Manager, who will be giving the presentation, says that a massive 28% of boat fires result in fatalities and that carbon monoxide is as big a danger on boats as smoke inhalation and fire. He will be giving out free smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors and showing people the best way to use them.
