There will be a boat and vehicle fire safety talk this Wednesday 18th January 2023 at 7pm at the Barge Inn, Honeystreet SN9 5PS. Free fire safety packs will be available including free fire and CO alarms. It is organised by Julian House Travelling Communities Support Service with Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Please come if you can – don’t become a statistic – according to the Fire Service, a massive 28% of boat fires cause fatalities. Don’t let this happen to you, come and find out how to prevent fire hazards on your boat.

Free boat fire safety packs are also available from wharves and marinas along the Kennet and Avon canal, or you can call 0800 038 2323 to get one, or you can pick one up from one of the following fire stations:
- Bradford on Avon – Monday evenings, 7pm to 9pm
- Devizes – Wednesday evenings, 7.15pm to 8.45pm
- Pewsey – Monday evenings, 7pm to 9pm
- Trowbridge – Monday evenings, 7pm to 9.30pm
