Wiltshire Council is running a consultation until 10th December on proposed cuts to bus services in the Pewsey Vale. The Connect2 bookable buses, which are the only buses that serve the majority of the villages along the Long Pound, are under threat. Some canalside villages could be left without any bus services. Public transport in this area is extremely poor and many boaters who don’t own cars depend on these buses. There are copies of the consultation document in the Barge Inn at Honey Street. You can download the consultation questionnaire here pv-consultation-2014-questionnaire
