Following a Freedom of Information request via www.whatdotheyknow.com, a boater has obtained the job descriptions and person specifications for most of the CRT/ BW enforcement team, apart from the job description for Enforcement and Licensing Manager Denise Yelland. This includes information about the numbers of staff in each position in different waterway areas. Locally on the K and A, as far as we know there are two Data Checkers, Paul Maidment and Matthew Preston; two Enforcement Officers, Corrine Rotherham and Geoffrey Walters, supervised by Russell Bennett, Enforcement Supervisor for London and the South. Jane Lee, former K and A Enforcement Officer, is now the Boating Analyst, analysing boat sightings to decide which boats to target for enforcement. Another boater obtained the organisation chart for the Enforcement and Licensing Team and Boat Licensing Team (BLT). The Boating Team now consists of only two people, Head of Boating Sally Ash and Boating Consultations and Communications manager Damian Kemp.
Here are the job descriptions and organisation chart. If the behaviour of the enforcement staff that you meet does not match the specifications required of them, let CRT know – you can email customer.feedback@canalrivertrust.org.uk or write to Kelly Radley , Internal Communications and Customer Services Manager , Canal & River Trust, First Floor North, Station House, 500 Elder Gate, Milton Keynes MK9 1BB.
