A Core Group of K and A boaters held its first meeting on May 2nd in Bradford on Avon. The group’s aims are to keep informed of relevant information and developments that affect liveaboard boaters on the K and A; to protect and promote the interests of liveaboard boaters; to stop unlawful behaviour by BW; to do what needs to be done to achieve those aims, and to organise positive, constructive action, from clearing rubbish on the towpath to lobbying and working with BaNES and Wiltshire Councils.
The group plans to meet once a month in different places such as Bath, Bradford on Avon and Pewsey, so that as many boaters as possible can take part. If you want to be involved, please email info@boatingcommunity.org.uk or ring or text 07928 078208. The next meeting is on Tuesday 5th June at 7.30pm in Bradford on Avon.
