From Friday 14th May 2021, the Julian House Travelling Communities Support Service will be running second dose Covid-19 vaccination clinics by boat. Please spread the word to anyone who may not have seen the message on this web site or on Facebook.
The floating clinic on nb Litania (which is also used for the Support Service’s Boaters’ Cafe Club) will be travelling west from Wootton Rivers to Darlington Wharf in Bath, stopping at key locations. The vaccine offered is the Oxford-Astra Zeneca vaccine.
The vaccination team requests that wherever possible, boaters come back to the same clinic location they attended for their first dose. The team has estimated vaccine doses based on the first clinic attendances, so this would make the logistics much easier. However, if you really can’t come back to the same place you will be welcomed at another clinic location as long as there’s vaccine availability.
The team will again be estimating the number of vaccinations needed, so please be understanding, there is still a chance that some clinics may be more popular than others, as people will have moved around following the end of the lockdown.
