The K&A Floating Fayre will be at the Barge Inn, Honey Street on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August along with the Barge Inn Craft and Gift market. Come along for a wonderful array of  art, crafts, jewellery, traditional canal arts and crafts, other handmade wares, bike repairs, gifts of all kinds, clothes, food, drink and much more. Support our roving canal traders and our local artists and craftspeople! Enjoy the unique festival atmosphere of the world famous Barge Inn, home to crop circle enthusiasts and good beer! There will also be music, buskers and children’s activities. See you there!

Boat Fire Safety talk, this Weds 18th Jan, Honeystreet

There will be a boat and vehicle fire safety talk this Wednesday 18th January 2023 at 7pm at the Barge Inn, Honeystreet SN9 5PS. Free fire safety packs will be available including free fire and CO alarms. It is organised by Julian House Travelling Communities Support Service with Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Canal kids Christmas and craft fair at the Barge, Honeystreet, tomorrow 10th Dec

Father Christmas will make an appearance at the Barge Inn Honeystreet tomorrow, Saturday 10th December at 4.30 to 6pm. There will be a magic show and balloon modelling between 3pm to 4.30pm; it costs £5 per child. There’s also a craft fair from 11am to 4pm.

Live music, Bishops Cannings, 27th August

There will be live music at the Crown Inn, Bishops Cannings from 2pm on Saturday 27th August. Entry is free of charge. The Crown is a short walk from the canal across the swing bridge in Horton, turn left where the track meets the road. Although the festival at the Barge Inn, Honeystreet has been cancelled, there will also be some live music at the pub during the bank holiday weekend.

Food, fuel and chandlery during the lockdown

Local liveaboards, waterway businesses and charities have joined together to keep supplies going to boaters during the coronavirus lockdown, including an extension of the Pay It Forward scheme where you can donate to cover the cost of fuel or food for someone who is struggling financially.

K&A Boaters’ Action Group, 12th August, Honeystreet

The next meeting of the K&A Boaters’ Action Group will be on Monday 12th August 2019 at 7.30pm at the newly-reopened Barge Inn, Honeystreet, SN9 5PS (in the snug bar). All are welcome. The meeting will focus on CRT’s proposals for additional enforcement on the K&A aimed mainly at hire boaters, but which are also likely to impact on liveaboards.
