Liveaboard Boaters Gathering, Pewsey, April 13-15

Low Impact Life Onboard (LILO) is hosting a Spring Gathering of Boaters near Pewsey on the Kennet & Avon. All boaters are welcome . It’ll be an informal affair –  a chance for boaters to share news and skills. There will be plenty of camping space available for those who decide not to bring their boats to the gathering. To book your place and find out the exact location and details about camping, contact gathering@lilo.org.uk or register at www.lilo.org.uk/gathering

One of the main features of LILO gatherings is the opportunity for boaters to share their skills and knowledge with other boaters. If you have a skill or knowledge which may be useful to other liveaboards to contact us for a slot in the timetable. There’ll also be sessions on the legal rights of boat dwellers, the big changes to the structure of BW and the Kennet & Avon Local Mooring Strategy, as well as a chance to get together with other people who want to do something about it all.  Sessions already planned include engine maintenance, 12V electrics (theory and build you own PV panel) plumbing and carpentry.

LILO is looking for more people who can offer their skills and knowledge in the workshops and talks. There will be sessions on how to run workshops for those who aren’t too confident. If there’s anything you would like to see happen at the gathering, contact gathering@lilo.org.uk

LILO is an informal network of boaters who are interested in living sustainably on the waterways and high seas. You can find out more at www.lilo.org.uk
