On Tuesday 10th May 2022 from 10am to 3pm, CRT work boats will be collecting rubbish between Bath and Bradford on Avon. If you have any bulky items such as mattresses, barrels of oil, waste from boat fit-outs etc, just give them a shout as they pass. They will also be doing some litter picking as they go, and boaters are welcome to do their own litter picking and dispose of it as the work boat passes.
Boaters obviously cannot use Councils’ bulky rubbish collections, and are prevented by either lack of transport or lack of proof of local residence from using local authority household recycling centres.
CRT say: “We’ll bring with us a refuse boat for anyone to use to dispose of unwanted items (including larger goods). As we pass through your local area, please feel free to give us a shout and use this to dispose of anything unwanted”.
CRT aims to provide this service every three months. The next rubbish collections will be on Tuesday 12th July and Friday 9th September 2022.
