The boaters’ Christmas carol service will take place at Dundas Aqueduct on Saturday 5th December at 6pm. All boaters, local residents and their families are welcome. The service is hosted by Canal Ministries and Boaters Christian Fellowship, supported by the Salvation Army Band. It will be led by Reverend Peter Atwill of nb Gospel Belle. There will be mince pies and mulled drinks afterwards.
Boaters are welcome to moor in the basin for the service and put up Christmas lights and decorations on their boats. The Kennet and Avon Canal Trust will be running a trip boat to the service from Bradford on Avon.

Please don’t forget that the service was originally dreamed up and instigated by us. That’s John and Brioni of narrow boat Stokie No 1. Peter Atwell officiated. It was an idea I had to bring Christmas cheer just before Christmas that year…Peter Atwell appears to have taken all credit.. But this is not truly so. However, it’s good to know that the event still takes place long after our departure from the canals…
