CRT has announced a phased return to navigation in England with short day trips permitted from 13th May 2020. From 23rd May, enforcement of the 14-day rule will resume and visitor moorings will revert to summer time limits.

Thursday, August 2nd, 2018CRT’s review of visitor moorings between Devizes and Reading has now finished and the proposals for change have been finalised. A 12-month trial/ consultation period has begun. If any changes have an adverse effect on liveaboard boaters it’s really important that we make this clear to CRT. Send your comments to CRT or make a formal complaint.
Review of visitor moorings east of Devizes
Monday, April 2nd, 2018CRT is currently carrying out a review of the visitor moorings between Devizes and Reading in a consultation exercise in which most of the user groups of the K&A are represented. Five meetings were held between August 2017 and March 2018. Proposals for any changes are due to be finalised this month, April 2018, and trialled for 12 months. During the trial, all boaters will have an opportunity to comment on the changes.

Boaters needed to attend Pewsey area Canal Forum, 23rd November
Thursday, November 17th, 2016There will be a Canal Forum meeting between local residents and Parish Councils in the Pewsey area and boaters next Wednesday 23rd November 2016 at Stanton St Bernard Village Hall at 5.30pm for a 6pm start. This is a continuation of the previous meetings in 2014 and 2015 chaired by CRT in the Pewsey Vale to resolve issues between local residents and canal users, especially liveaboard boaters. Please come to this meeting, especially if you regularly moor your boat in the Long Pound.
