CRT has announced that it is extending the deadline for its Boater Census until 31st October 2022. We encourage liveaboard boaters to complete it. The CRT census is both voluntary and anonymous and is not linked to your boat licence or customer number.

STOP PRESS: CRT census extended to 31st October
Sunday, October 2nd, 2022Please complete CRT census by end of September – here’s why, and here are the questions
Saturday, September 24th, 2022Please complete the CRT census! Why? Because it is a chance to set out to CRT any issues you have faced due to being a liveaboard boater and – importantly – to highlight where CRT’s enforcement policy, especially the 20 mile range requirement, interferes with basic parts of life such as putting children through school, getting and keeping a job or caring for an elderly or disabled relative. If enough people use the census to tell CRT of their experiences then this will create a powerful platform to lobby CRT for change.
There’s still time to do the Census
Wednesday, March 24th, 2021The deadline for completing the 2021 Census is the end of April, and the Census telephone helpline has added a special line for people living on boats or in caravans, vans, tents or other transient accommodation. This follows the severe difficulties that some liveaboard boaters experienced trying to get a Unique Access Code to do the census online. You can now call the Census helpline and select option 4 .
Census helplines are open now!
Monday, March 1st, 2021Make sure you can take part in the Census on March 21st
Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021There are thousands of us, and we’re not going to move into houses…
Wednesday, February 9th, 2011There’s going to be a census this year – it happens every 10 years. The census day is 27 March. We understand that census forms will be sent out by post this time, rather than being delivered by hand. If you have a postal address, especially if you are registered to vote, you will probably get a form. If you don’t have a postal address, you can call the census helpline on 0300 0201 101 from 4 March to get one, and you can arrange to have it sent to a postal address or possibly hand-delivered to you at a location of your choice.
