CRT has conceded that it cannot lawfully specify a minimum distance that boaters without home moorings must travel in order to comply with Section 17 3 c ii of the 1995 British Waterways Act.

Following a complaint by a boater who spent half an hour on the phone while CRT staff tried to find details of the Annual Public Meeting that was due to take place in two weeks’ time, CRT has apologised for the time it took to provide the information.

The next meeting of the K and A boaters’ action group will be on Monday 12th November at 7.30pm in a pub in Devizes. If you have time to do some work over the next few months (or longer) defending our rights as liveaboards; doing constructive things like towpath tidies; engaging in dialogue with CRT etc, then we would like you to be in the group.

Three liveaboard boaters attended the CRT Annual Meeting in Birmingham on 27 September to register their objection to the joint CRT and IWA attack on the rights of boaters without home moorings.
