Wiltshire Council is holding a Highways Matters Event hosted by Pewsey Area Board in Pewsey on Monday 27th November 2023. This is an ideal opportunity for boaters to demand that the Council takes action over the recent obstruction of parking in Wilcot.

Thursday, November 17th, 2016There will be a Canal Forum meeting between local residents and Parish Councils in the Pewsey area and boaters next Wednesday 23rd November 2016 at Stanton St Bernard Village Hall at 5.30pm for a 6pm start. This is a continuation of the previous meetings in 2014 and 2015 chaired by CRT in the Pewsey Vale to resolve issues between local residents and canal users, especially liveaboard boaters. Please come to this meeting, especially if you regularly moor your boat in the Long Pound.

Monday, November 3rd, 2014The next meeting of the K&A boaters action group will be on Monday 10th November at 7.30pm in Pewsey. The group has not met in Pewsey for some time, so this is a chance for boaters who are further east to come and get involved in defending and promoting the boating community on the K&A and also to raise any concerns that you may have about CRT enforcement; maintenance and facilities on the cut; the behaviour of hire boaters, or any other matters.
Hire boats burgled at Avoncliff
Saturday, March 30th, 2013Two Oxfordshire Narrowboats hire boats were broken into at Avoncliff in the early evening after dark yesterday and valuables including laptops were stolen. The spate of boat burglaries has continued but boaters have reported more information to the police about suspicious activity along the canal.
