Kennet and Avon Boating Community has added three new pages to the web site – Report BW Abuse, K&A Nature Watch and Useful Contacts.
Report BW Abuse is a forum for you to publicise any unlawful enforcement, bullying, harassment and other examples of abuse by British Waterways, an organisation that has a long-established culture of prejudice towards liveaboard boaters. Report your experiences in as much or as little detail as you choose, openly or anonymously, on a comment below. The more information we gather about the day to day activities of enforcement and other BW staff, the better equipped we are to challenge violations of our rights. Remember, a public authority is required to exercise its power reasonably!
K&A Nature Watch – the waterways answer to Springwatch and Big Garden Birdwatch – is for you and your family to tell us about the interesting, unusual or rare wildlife you have seen along the Kennet and Avon canal, or just to record the changing seasons or send us a photograph.
Useful Contacts is a page of boaters’ group, legal support and other contacts that you may need. Please let us know of any other organisations that you think should be listed.
