There will be a Kennet & Avon Canal User Forum on Wednesday 24th January 2024 from 10:30 to 12:30. The in-person forum will be held at the St James Centre, Estcourt Crescent, Devizes, Wiltshire, SN10 1LR. CRT’s Sarah Cook says “Please join us for some short presentations, have your questions answered and an opportunity to talk to us directly.”
This is an opportunity to tell CRT what you think of the surcharge on boats without a home mooring and whether you risk being forced off the water and out of your home by this discriminatory and unjust licence fee increase. You may also wish to raise issues about enforcement, waterway maintenance, or facilities for boaters. This meeting is an opportunity to do so. It is an open meeting and all waterway users are entitled to attend. Liveaboard boaters have participated in many user group meetings, which has helped to improve the relationship between the liveaboard community and other waterway users.
The User Forum is free of charge but you need to book a ticket here:

CRT plans to video the presentations to share on its website; if you are unable to attend and would like to see these, please register your interest via the above email address. CRT will hold an online User Forum in the summer.
