Friday, April 11th, 2014Towpath tidied!
Monday, November 19th, 2012Last Saturday a group of liveaboard boaters cleared rubbish from the towpath between Dundas and Bathampton, with the help of the Kennet and Avon Canal Trust’s work boat crew. The photo shows the group unloading the rubbish from the ‘Vale of Pewsey’ at Bathampton at the end of the day. There are plans to do another towpath tidy at the end of January, probably between Widbrook and Hilperton. If you want to help, email info@boatingcommunity.org.uk or ring/text 07928 078208. If you want to join the ‘Vale of Pewsey’ volunteers in their task for this winter of cutting back vegetation on the offside between Limpley Stoke and Bath, contact co-ordinator Derrick Hunt derrickjohnhunt@btinternet.com

Monday, November 5th, 2012There will be a towpath tidy this Saturday 10th November, organised by boaters. Please meet at Dundas wharf at 9.45am for a 10am start. The Kennet and Avon Canal Trust volunteers are also helping with this, and we will be using their work boat Vale of Pewsey to move the rubbish. Bring warm clothes, and work gloves if you have them – we have some gloves to lend as well. Rubbish bags will be provided.
