Fullsail Community Theatre needs actors

Fullsail Theatre is planning another community arts production in the Bath Fringe this June. If you would like to take part in an adaptation of Jack and the Beanstalk, come to the first meeting at the Green Park Brasserie (market side) on Saturday 10th March at 2pm. Director Yinka Selley says “It’s absolutely not a panto”. Fullsail staged a memorable production of Treasure Island on board the Antoinette in 2010, and has appeared in the Bath Fringe and Bradford on Avon Arts Festival.

Liveaboard Boaters Gathering, Pewsey, April 13-15

Low Impact Life Onboard (LILO) is hosting a Spring Gathering of Boaters near Pewsey on the Kennet & Avon. All boaters are welcome . It’ll be an informal affair –  a chance for boaters to share news and skills. There will be plenty of camping space available for those who decide not to bring their boats to the gathering. LILO Liveaboard Boaters Gathering near Pewsey April 2012

Low Impact Life Onboard (LILO) is hosting a gathering of boaters at a pub with a camp site and barn near Pewsey from 13th to 15th April 2012. All boaters are welcome. It will be an informal get-together for boaters to share news and skills. There will be plenty of camping space available for those who decide not to bring their boats to the gathering. The site is 5 minutes walk from the canal.

Dundas Carol Service

There will be a boaters’ carol service at Dundas Aqueduct on Saturday 3rd December at 6pm. The service will be led by Rev Peter Atwill of Canal Ministries. Boats are welcome to moor in the basin for the service; if you have fairy lights and decorations you can put up, that will contribute to a Christmassy atmosphere. All are welcome.

K and A User Group meeting 20 October

The next Kennet and Avon User Group Meeting will take place on Thursday 20 October 2011 at 7pm to 9pm at the Kennet and Avon Canal Trust Offices, The Wharf, Devizes SN10 1EB. It is a public meeting and all users of the canal can attend. BW AGM 13th October – book your place now!

The BW Annual General Meeting is on Thursday October 13th at The Bond Company, 180 -182 Fazeley Street, Digbeth, Birmingham B5 5SE at 10.30am to 3.30pm. BW is a public body and members of the public are entitled to go. You don’t have to be a representative of an organisation. This year’s meeting will be an opportunity to ask the Transition Trustees questions, for example how the new waterways charity proposes to safeguard the rights of liveaboard boaters and protect them from unlawful enforcement, summary eviction and homelessness.
