Tuesday, November 26th, 2019There will be a Winter Floating Fayre at Lower Wharf, Bradford on Avon from Friday evening 29th November to Sunday 1st December 2019. Trading boats will be selling a wide and eclectic range of traditional canal crafts, art, handmade clothes, food, drink and much more. Come along on Friday at 7pm for the Festive Boat Lights Switch-On when the Cross Guns singers will be singing carols and sea shanties and there will be mulled wine, roast chestnuts and hot food.

Tuesday, October 29th, 2019There will be a Boat Fire and Stove Safety talk tonight, Tuesday 29th October 2019 at 6.30pm at the Lock Inn, Lower Wharf, Bradford on Avon BA15 1LE. Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service and the Floaty Boat Fund will be giving out free fire and CO alarms, rope seals and smoke pellets (for testing stoves). More Boat Fire and Stove Safety talks are planned.

Sunday, October 27th, 2019Professor Richard Yarwood (Plymouth University) and Dr Agatha Herman (Cardiff University) are carrying out research into Canal boat dwelling: Homes, Welfare and Mobile Citizenship on Britain’s Canals. They are particularly interested in issues around homes, families, welfare and citizenship and they would love to hear your stories as these will help them better understand the benefits and challenges you experience.
First ever nationwide liveaboard boater health survey
