Hire boats burgled at Avoncliff
Saturday, March 30th, 2013Two Oxfordshire Narrowboats hire boats were broken into at Avoncliff in the early evening after dark yesterday and valuables including laptops were stolen. The spate of boat burglaries has continued but boaters have reported more information to the police about suspicious activity along the canal.

BaNES seeks to prevent CRT taking ‘draconian’ action against liveaboard boaters
Saturday, October 27th, 2012When making arrangements for a meeting between BaNES Council and Sally Ash and Damian Kemp of BW in December 2011, one of the Council’s housing officers said in an email that “We .. have on-going concerns regarding their appreciation of the potential impact of the proposed moorings strategy (ie homelessness, access to education/services etc).”

Jenks facilities to close
Wednesday, June 8th, 2011Jenkyn Knill has contacted us to say that as of 1st July 2011 Hampton Wharf services will no longer be available for general use. Because of the age of the sewer and associated problems, Jenks has decided that the pump out needs to be moved to a different location. Please contact him if you have any queries.
