The Boat Fire Safety talk by Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service on Sunday 10th April in the Cross Guns has unfortunately been cancelled due to staff shortages in the Fire and Rescue Service. You can contact Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service on 01380 732972 to arrange a boat fire safety visit.
Following the recent fatal boat fire on the K&A, the Fire Service will be giving a series of Boat Fire Safety talks in different places along the canal in the Bath and the Wiltshire areas in the next few weeks. Please come along and make sure your boat is as fire safe as possible. The next talk will be in the Black Horse, Bath Rd, Devizes SN10 2AU on Monday 25th January at 7.30pm. There will be free smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms.
Following the tragic death of a boater in a fire on a boat at Hilperton Marsh last November, Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service is once again sending Boat Fire Safety Advisers cycling along the towpath and to marinas offering FREE boat fire safety checks and smoke alarms. May 25th to 31st is Boat Fire Safety Week throughout the country.
