The K&A Manager Mark Stephens has asked that boaters report all underwater obstructions and depth problems to him as this will help him to plan dredging for next year.
Liveaboard boaters are organising a towpath tidy between Devizes and Horton on Saturday 22nd March. Everyone is welcome. Please join us in the car park at Devizes Wharf at 10.30am for an 11.00am start.
CRT today published its final decision on the Towpath Mooring Plan for the K&A between Bath top lock and Lower Foxhangers (Devizes). The finalised plan includes a number of unlawful elements and others that contradict CRT’s stated aim of providing clear local mooring guidance.
Following a complaint and a 148-signature petition about the removal of rubbish bins on the K&A, waterway manager Mark Stephens has asked for feedback on the schedule for the contractors Biffa who empty all the bins on the K&A.
The next meeting of the K&A boaters action group will be next Monday 10th March 2014 at 7.30pm in Devizes. Among other things the group would like your help in organising the towpath tidies that we are planning in early spring.
