Monday, March 4th, 2013Bath and NE Somerset Council want to hear from liveaboard boaters on the Kennet and Avon Canal and the River Avon. If you live on your boat without a home mooring, and spend some of your time between Dundas and Hanham, or if you live on a mooring in this area, the Council wants you to tell them about your needs and requirements. Consultation on definition of “Houseboat” until 30th September

It started at the end of May and the deadline is 30 September 2012. The consultation also seeks views on changes to the definition of “Houseboat”. There are at least two reasons to respond to this consultation.
Respond to the DEFRA consultation on the New Waterways Charity
Monday, April 4th, 2011The DEFRA consultation on moving BW and eventually the EA navigations to charity status opened on 30 March. The deadline is 30 June. It is extremely important that liveaboard boaters, whatever their mooring status, respond to this – because there is virtually no acknowledgement of our existence in the entire consultation!!
